How Abatacept Works?

Abatacept communicates with T cells (a group of one among the white blood cells). When abatacept interfers with t cells these cells get activated and in turn it activates the cells that cause inflammation in the joints.

Abatacept will switch on the two switches of T cell which inturn activates the cells in the inflammation parts. Abatacept goes and sticks with one of the T cell switches and block it, disables the T cell to be turned on. This enables the T cells to turn only one switch on therefore due to this it helps a lot in reducing the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.
